How do I check DNS records?

What does an A record point to?
An A (Address) record maps a domain name directly to the IPv4 address of the server hosting the website. Without an A record (or its IPv6 equivalent, an AAAA record), web browsers wouldn't know which server to contact when users type in your domain name.
What is an MX record?
Mail Exchanger (MX) records direct email to your domain's mail servers. If you are diagnosing issues receiving email, verifying that your MX records point to your email provider (like Google Workspace or Microsoft 365) is the first troubleshooting step.
