About URL Intelligence Platform

Paste a list of URLs, or text that contains them, and get each final status code, every redirect along the way and the response time, ready to export as CSV or JSON. The same tool crawls up to 100 pages of a site from a starting page and opens a batch of links in browser tabs. Checks and crawls need a free account and count toward a daily allowance.

Checking a list of links

Paste URLs one per line, paste any text that contains links, open a CSV or text file, or paste one sitemap URL to import the pages it lists (up to 5,000). Duplicates are removed first, and each URL is requested and followed to its final destination. The results show the final status code, every redirect along the way and the response time, with filters for healthy, redirects, broken, server errors, DNS failures, SSL issues, timeouts, redirect loops, soft 404s, slow responses (over 2 seconds), long chains (over 3 hops) and cross-domain redirects.

Checks need a free account. Each URL uses one check from your daily allowance, which is 250 on the free plan.

Why redirect chains matter

A link that goes through three or four redirects before reaching its page still “works”, but every hop adds a round trip, and long chains are often the leftovers of old migrations. Search engines follow a limited number of hops, and a loop never resolves at all. Seeing each hop makes these easy to find and fix at the source.

Where the requests come from

A browser can’t read another site’s redirects because of cross-origin rules, so every check is made by MemonaIQ’s server. Before sending a request, it refuses private network, loopback and cloud metadata addresses, so it can’t be used to probe internal systems.

Crawling a site

The site crawler starts at one page and follows links on the same site, one page at a time, up to 5 levels deep and 100 pages. It follows the robots.txt rules for all crawlers, including Allow exceptions and wildcards, and reports broken pages, missing titles, meta descriptions and H1 headings, and duplicate titles. It reads the HTML the server sends and doesn’t run JavaScript.

History and comparing runs

Your last 25 checks are kept in this browser, so you can compare two runs, download one as an HTML report, CSV, JSON or Markdown, or load its URLs again. MemonaIQ doesn’t run checks on a schedule, so re-run your list after a release to catch changes.

Questions people ask

Which redirect types are followed?
301, 302, 303, 307 and 308 responses (and the rarely used 300) are followed, up to a hop limit you can set: 10 at most on the free plan. Each hop’s status code and location are recorded.
Can I export the results?
Yes. Download all results as CSV for spreadsheets or JSON for scripts. Saved checks in History can also be downloaded as an HTML report or Markdown.
Why does a page work in my browser but fail here?
Sites that need you to be logged in, or that block automated traffic, can return 403 or 429 to a checker even though they load for you. Treat those results as information about public, logged-out access.
What if a link fails before it returns a status code?
It’s labelled by cause: a DNS failure, an SSL issue, a timeout, a refused connection or a redirect loop, each with its own filter. “Couldn’t check” is kept for checks MemonaIQ itself couldn’t finish, so try those again.
Does the crawler find every page on my site?
It finds pages linked from the starting page within the limits of 5 levels and 100 pages. Pages that nothing links to won’t be found by following links, so check those URLs as a list instead.
