About Job Application Tailoring Studio
Paste or import your resume and a job posting to see which requirements the posting lists, how well your resume supports each one, and which bullets are vague or lack measurable detail. You can then generate an editable tailored draft. Both documents stay in this browser tab. It points out gaps you can fix; it can't predict how an applicant tracking system or a recruiter will rate you.
What the comparison looks for
The studio pulls the skills, tools and qualifications out of the job description, then checks how clearly your resume shows each one. Each requirement is labelled as a strong match, partial match, transferable, mention only, missing, or needing verification.
- Requirement coverage: which requirements your resume supports, and how well
- Missing skills: requirements it doesn’t mention at all
- Measurable detail: bullets with no numbers are flagged so you can add scope or results
- Vague wording: phrases like “responsible for” or “helped with” that hide what you did
- Formatting risks: tabs, box-drawing characters, emoji and slash-style dates that some resume parsers read badly
Using the results honestly
Adding a missing keyword only helps if it’s true. The most useful fixes are usually rewording real experience so it matches the language of the posting, and adding the result of the work you already describe.
No tool can tell you how a particular applicant tracking system or recruiter will score a resume. The comparison shows gaps against one posting; it doesn’t predict interviews.
Privacy
Your resume and the job description are compared inside this browser tab. They aren’t uploaded, saved or used for analytics, and they’re gone when you close the tab. You can paste text or open a TXT, Markdown, DOCX or PDF file up to 5 MB; text-based files work best, and if a PDF can’t be read, paste its text instead.
Questions people ask
- Does this guarantee my resume will pass an ATS?
- No. It shows how well your resume covers the posting’s requirements. Applicant tracking systems differ, and many are configured by each employer.
- Does it write cover letters?
- No. It compares your resume with one job description and can produce a tailored resume draft. It doesn’t generate cover letters.
- Is my resume uploaded anywhere?
- No. The comparison runs in your browser and nothing is sent to MemonaIQ.
- Can it write my resume for me?
- It can generate an editable tailored draft in Markdown, with a new summary, a core skills section and your bullets reordered for the posting. Wording changes are limited to replacing weak phrases such as “helped with” with plainer verbs. It never adds experience you didn’t write, so edit the draft before you use it.
